When specified by national standards, the “Flashback Arrestor” safety devices must be installed on fittings used for Acetylene. The “Flashback Arestor” is used to protect single cylinders, outlet points or pipelines against gas back feed- ing and flashback, and meets various National and International Standards e.g. EN730. Appropriate inspections are made by the certification authorities – BAM, TÜV and Underwriters Laboratories etc.
